Introducing our newest room - Family

We are excited to introduce our newest room - Family room. The room is our biggest one and can fit 3 people ( one double bed and one single bed) or 4 people ( with extra bed). It has its own private entrance, a bench, working table, wardrobe, and en-suite bathroom.  In-room facilties include mini-fridge, AC, hot/cold shower, complimentary soap and shampoo, complimentary towel ( for three), basic cable TV (Indovision), complimentary Wi-Fi. Guesthouse facilities include indoor swimming pool, shared kitchen, musholla ( prayer room) and ATM ( Bank Mandiri).

The room starts at Rp. 555.000 /night nett include breakfast for three and laundry ( if staying more than 3 nights). Changes to the bathroom

Aside from changing the look of our rooms, we also made minor addition to the bathroom. All of our bathrooms now feature soap and shampoo.

Newly Redesigned Rooms

A lot has happened since we last logged in. 
First off, Sabda Guesthouse is currently under renovation but we are open to the public. Our rooms are available to rent for daily, weekly and monthly. We have put a little touch to the rooms, i.e. adding paintings, table lamps, duvet, and laundry basket. Here are pictures of the before and after of each rooms ( single, double, and twin).

The price for each rooms are still the same. For daily , Single - Rp. 345.000/night nett, Double Rp. 402.500 /night nett, Twin Rp. 402.500/night nett. Contact us  if you wish to rent for weekly and monthly. 

Secondly, As of September 29 2014 Alfamart Gudang Peluru has closed for good. But there are plenty of other convenience stores nearby like Alfamart Kampung Melayu, Alfamidi, Indomaret and Seven Eleven. 

Thirdly, we are in the midst of designing a new room. We can't wait to unveil the new room. Keep a look out for the big news.

A tour around Depok and its vicinity

Depok lies on the outskirt of Jakarta, part of the West Java Province. Not a lot of tourists know that Depok is home to Dian Al-Mahri Mosque, a one of its kind mosque in Indonesia where its dome are covered in gold. A mosque so picturesque that is worth visiting.
Sabda Guesthouse can arrange a tour to Dian Al-Mahri mosque, an appropirate tire is required to visit the mosque (i.e. long pants for men and women, head covering for women).  The tour starts with marveling the architecture of Dian Al-Mahri mosque. Then afterwards we will visit Rumah Keramik or Ceramic House in Tanah Baru, Depok.  The ceramic house provide workshop and ceramic classes. There is a shop and cafe where you can stop by to buy souvenirs and eat lunch. We will end the day with visiting Museum Layang-Layang or Kite Museum in Lebak Bulus. A great place to learn the history of kites in Indonesia. Various kites are on displayed in the museum. Batik and other art
classes are also provided for an additional charge.

Busy December

It has been an awfully quiet blog, we haven't updated our blog in months. December has been quite a hectic month for us. Lots guests from all parts of the world staying with us. We are happy with the feedback they have given us. Here's one of the review from a guest who stayed with us over Christmas:

First We would like to wish everyone a happy new year 2014 ( we know is rather late but is better late than never! ). We wish everyone good health and good fortune in the coming year. 

Second  We have reduced the rate for daily double and twin room from Rp. 517.500 nett per night to Rp. 460.000 nett per night. The rate already include 10% tax, 5% service, breakfast and laundry if staying more than three days.
